Kansas Softball to Host Bark in the Park and Take a Kid to the Park Day

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas softball’s fourth annual Bark in the Park will take place this Saturday, April 25, at Arrocha Ballpark when KU hosts Baylor at 2 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs out to enjoy a day at the ballpark. Dogs will be admitted with a donation to benefit the Lawrence Humane Society. The Lawrence Humane Society wish list includes cash, blankets and towels, paper towels, bleach, laundry detergent, dog treats and canned puppy, kitten and dog food. Volunteers from the Lawrence Humane Society will be on hand to accept donations and will be joined by dogs currently available for adoption.

Fans accompanied by their dog will receive admission for $3. Bark in the Park flying discs will be distributed after the game. All dog handlers will be required to sign an agreement to participate and a waiver.

The Jayhawks will continue their Big 12 Conference series with Baylor on Sunday, April 26, at noon. Sunday will be Take a Kid to the Park Day at Arrocha Ballpark. Fans can receive one adult and one youth admission for $3 each.
