2012 May Kansas Football Tour Dates Announced

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas Athletics and the KU Alumni Association have partnered to bring the University of Kansas Football and head coach Charlie Weis to Jayhawk fans across the state.
The 2012 Kansas Football May Tour will include stops in Dodge City, Garden City, Hays, Salina, Hutchinson, Wichita, Pittsburg, Topeka and Kansas City.
All Jayhawk alumni, fans and friends are invited to events along the tour, which will include luncheons and happy hours to kick off the 2012 football season. KU head coach Charlie Weis and special guests from the athletics department and alumni association will be at every stop. Fans can pick up 2012 commemorative football items, have a chance to win autographed merchandise and tickets.
The tour begins Tuesday, May 8, with a luncheon in Dodge City and a Happy Hour event in Garden City. A full listing of the stops on the Kansas Football May Tour is listed below.

Dodge City: May 8, 2012
The United Wireless Arena will host a luncheon in the Magouirk Conference Center. Registration for the event begins at 11:30 a.m. The seated luncheon, featuring Athletics Director Dr. Sheahon Zenger and head coach Charlie Weis, starts at noon.

Garden City: May 8, 2012
The Golf Club at Southwind will host a Happy Hour event from 5:30-7 p.m. A cash bar and appetizers will be available. Head Coach Charlie Weis and other athletic department officials will attend. There is no charge for this event.
Hays: May 9, 2012
The Smoky Hill Country Club will host a luncheon. Registration for the event begins at 11:30 a.m. The seated luncheon, featuring Athletics Director Dr. Sheahon Zenger and head coach Charlie Weis, starts at noon.

The Salina Country Club will host a Happy Hour event from 5:30-7 p.m. A cash bar and appetizers will be available. Head Coach Charlie Weis and other athletic department officials will attend. There is no charge for this event.
