LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The Kansas softball game originally scheduled for Sunday, April 26 at noon against Baylor has been moved up a day to Saturday due to thunderstorms predicted to hit the Lawrence area for most of the day on Sunday. KU and Baylor will instead play a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m. at Arrocha Ballpark in the Jayhawks’ senior day.

The Williams Educational Fund Tailgate will still take place, weather permitting, at noon on Saturday in the parking lot adjacent to Arrocha Ballpark.

Additionally, Saturday is still Bark in the Park day in which fans are permitted to bring their dogs and can get into the games for $3 along with a donation to the Lawrence Humane Society.

Following the contests, Kansas seniors Val Chapple, Stevie Crisosto, Val George, Dougie McCaulley and Elle Pottorf will be honored in a brief ceremony on the field.
