Kansas Baseball Suspended in Bottom of Fourth

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Due to heavy rain in the Lawrence area, Kansas baseball team’s game against Texas Tech has been suspended in the bottom of the fourth inning. The teams will resume play at 11 a.m. Sunday morning, before playing the final contest of the three-game series 30 minutes following the conclusion of the suspended game.

Texas Tech leads the suspended game 2-1 entering the Kansas half of the fourth. Junior Tony Thompson will lead off for the Jayhawks.

Saturday evenings game began at 6 p.m., but was delayed by rain at 7:13, and was officially suspended at 8 p.m. This marks KU’s first suspended game of the season.

Fans can gain admission to Sunday’s action with either their ticket stub from Saturday’s game or their original ticket from Sunday.
