LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas swimming and diving hosted a one-hour clinic Saturday morning at Robinson Natatorium for 20 local Special Olympians.

Kansas swimmers coached different strokes and techniques to the Special Olympians. KU divers Allison Ho and Meghan Proehl demonstrated several dives on the platform and three meter diving board to the Special Olympians which drew applause.

“This was awesome,” said Kansas head coach Clark Campbell. “We want this to become an annual event. Our swimmers did a wonderful job and this was good for both sides. (The Special Olympians) were able to learn several things for their competitions and our swimmers got the opportunity to coach. It was just a great day and we really would like for this to become an annual event.”
