April 28, 2006

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The University of Kansas baseball game scheduled for Friday, April 28, against Oklahoma at Hoglund Ballpark has been cancelled due to rain. The two teams will play a split doubleheader on Saturday, April 29, with the first game at 1 p.m. and second game at 6 p.m.

Patrons holding tickets to Friday night’s postponed contest may use them for admission to the 1 p.m. game against the Sooners on Saturday. Hoglund Ballpark will be cleared following the conclusion of Saturday afternoon’s game in preparation for the regularly-scheduled nightcap. A separate ticket will be needed to enter the second game.

No. 30 Kansas (31-16, 9-9 Big 12) and No. 8 Oklahoma (33-10, 11-4 Big 12) are in fourth and third place, respectively, in the Big 12 heading into this weekend. The Sooners enter the weekend with an 11-game winning streak, tied for the longest in college baseball.
