Gary Woodland Named To All-Big 12 Team

LAWRENCE, KAN. –

Senior Gary Woodland has been named to the All-Big 12 team for the second consecutive year. Ten student-athletes in the Big 12 conference were selected for the honor.

The Topeka, Kan. native, recorded three wins (Kansas Invitational, All-American Golf Classic and Louisiana Classics) during his senior campaign. His team leading scoring average of 72.00 was instrumental in the Jayhawks two team victories as well.

Woodland recorded eight top-10 finishes and 10 top-20 finishes in his final year at Kansas. Woodland was also a member of the All-Big 12 First Team during his junior season.

Earlier this month, Woodland was selected to represent the United States in the 2007 Fuji Xerox US-Japan Collegiate Golf Championship.

Oklahoma State junior Pablo Martin was named Big 12 Player of the Year. Mike McGraw, also of Oklahoma State, was named Coach of the Year.
