Player Chat: Conner Teahan
Conner Teahan will join us in a live chat on Tuesday, May 4th at 2:30 PM CT. We’ll take questions from fans and talk to Conner about hoops, football and his plans for the summer.

Moderator: Hi Jayhawk fans! Conner just joined us and will start taking some of your questions–fire away! |

| Sunny (London): If you could play alongside with one of the KU basketball greats, who would it be? |
 |
|
Conner Teahan: It would probably have to be Paul Pierce–I watched him play here as a kid and admired his game and now in the pro’s–he’s one of the greats. |
|

| Peter H.: Conner,What do you think about the NCAA expanding the field and how would you have felt if it went to 96 teams? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: 68 is not that much of a difference, but I think it’ll help out some of the bubble teams that get left out. 96 would have been too many and probably would have taken meaning away from the regular season. |

| Tracy: What is your favorite thing to do in lawrence aside from playing ball? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: Playing golf–it’s relaxing and nice to be outside in the spring and summer. |

| Janessa (Mission KS): What music do you listen to? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: Primarily I guess I listen to R&B, hip-hop. Lil Wayne, JZ. But I also listen to Dave Matthews Band. |

| Dallas (Trenton, N.J.): What was the experience like going out for spring ball? How did the players treat you? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: It was a great experience. I’m happy I tried it out. The players were more than welcoming. |
|

| Kyle (Wichita, KS): What did it feel like being out on the field during the spring game? Were you nervous? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: Maybe some butterflies, but I felt pretty confident. The crowd helped me out. |
|

| Dayton: Connor,Who has been the most important influence on your life as an athlete? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: My parents. Both of them have helped me through tough times and kept me motivated and always been there for me. |
|

| Mitchell: Do you have a saying or motto that motivates or inspires you? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: It’s pretty simple, but never give up and don’t ever listen when people tell you that you can’t do something. |
|

| Miles A. (Oberlin, MO): Conner: Where do you feel like you’re most comfortable as an athlete–on the basketball court or on the football field? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: I feel comfortable playing both, but basketball probably moreso because I’ve played it the last three years. |
|

| Jayna: Who are you cheering for in the NBA playoffs? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: Lakers and Cavaliers. I want the Finals to be those teams. I’d probably favor the Lakers to win it all. |
|

| Kellen: Who are your favorite pro teams? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: My favorite pro team is the Chiefs and I’ve supported the Royals since I was a kid. |
|
|
| Kelly Ann: What are your favorite classes at KU? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: I’m currently a Business major and those are the majority of the classes I take, so those would have to be my favorite. |

| Taylor: What are the top three favorite games in your life or as a Jayhawk? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: 1. The National Championship, obviously.2. It would be hard for me not to say the game against North Carolina in the Final Four.3. The K-State game in Manhattan this year. |

| Aaron (Overland Park): Hi Conner, How did your teammates on the basketball team react to your decision to try out for football this spring? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: They were very supportive and I appreciate the way they tried to motivate me to become the best football player I could be also. |
|
|
| Lana (Kansas City): What TV shows do you like to watch? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: My favorite shows are Life on the Discovery Channel and Entourage on HBO. |
|
|
| Laura: What is your favorite movie? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: V for Vendetta–I loved that movie for some reason, it’s probably my favorite. And I just saw Avatar and that was great. |
|

| Riley (Topeka): What advice do you have for players who want to try to walk on to play at KU? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: Work hard and make sure you get in shape |
|
|
| Greg: Do you have a player that you try to mold your game after or someone that you look up to for inspiration? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: I don’t really mold my game after anybody but Michael Jordan used to always motivate me as a kid and is somebody I look up to. |
|

| Jaden: Were you surprised at how much attention your decision to play football got? |
|
|
Conner Teahan: I was surprised and honestly kind of wanted it to be a little less publicized. |
|
