Jayhawks-UALR Cancel Tuesday Game in Little Rock

May 6, 2011

NORMAN, Okla. –

Due to conflict with class schedules, the Kansas baseball team has cancelled its away game at Arkansas-Little Rock scheduled for Tuesday, May 10. The Jayhawks will make up the game by playing a doubleheader with Alabama A&M on Saturday, May 14 beginning at 2 p.m.

“I appreciate (UALR Coach) Scott Norwood’s cooperation with this change,” Kansas Head Coach Ritch Price said. “As a result of our flights being cancelled last Sunday in Lubbock, our players missed two days of classes this week. With this schedule changes, we’ll allow our student-athletes to attend all of their classes prior to the start of finals week.”

KU will make up the game with Arkansas-Little Rock next season by playing a two-game series against the Trojans in Little Rock on Tuesday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 2. The Jayhawks will also play UALR one game in Lawrence next season.
