POSITION TITLE: Head Coach

STARTING DATE: July 1, 2009

APPOINTMENT: Full time

Duties: Responsible for creating a team that competes successfully at the national level, both athletically and academically. Provide top quality recruiting, development, coaching, strategy and supervision of a team and coaching staff at a nationally competitive major Division I Softball program. Duties include budgetary management, compliance with NCAA, Big Twelve and institutional rules, and a commitment to academic development of student-athletes.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree and five years coaching experience at the collegiate level. Possess knowledge of and commitment to following NCAA rules and regulations, proven leadership and effective communication skills, and ability to teach and motivate student-athletes to be academically and athletically successful.

Preferred: Master’s degree. Head Coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level.
