LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas senior-to-be Conner Teahan, who participated in spring football workouts, has come to the conclusion that he will stick with men’s basketball full time, head coach Bill Self announced Friday.

“Conner visited with Coach (Turner) Gill and came out of it thanking him for the opportunity to participate in spring practice,” said Self. “But Conner came to the conclusion that he will be with us (basketball) full time.”

Teahan, who was an all-district quarterback at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Mo., in 2006, was an invited walk-on on the Kansas men’s basketball team. He has been a contributor on the Jayhawks’ last three Big 12 regular-season championship teams, including the 2008 national championship squad.

“It was a great experience and I appreciate coach Gill and the rest of the coaches and players for giving me the opportunity,” said Teahan. “I wish the football team the best of luck next season and I will continue to support them.”
