Kansas Rowing to Compete for First Conference USA on Saturday and Sunday
LAWRENCE, Kan.—Kansas rowing will compete in the South-Central Regional Regatta on Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16, while also competing in the inaugural Conference USA Rowing Championship.
The Jayhawks competed well at the event last season finishing now lower than third in the five final races the team entered including second place finishes in the Open Four C, Varsity Four C Final and the Novice Eight C Final.
The Conference USA champion will be decided by the order of the finish of the nine Conference USA teams among the field. The eight other Conference USA teams are Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Central Florida, SMU and Tulsa.
