More Than 100 Kansas Student-Athletes Members of the Class of 2008

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>LAWRENCE, Kan. – University of Kansas student-athletes “Walked the Hill” as they graduated as members of the Class of 2008 Sunday.

Representing 18 varsity sports, many of the KU student-athletes participated Sunday afternoon in the commencement procession from MountOread down to Tom Kivisto Field at Memorial Stadium, including four members of the 2008 national championship basketball team. They were Sasha Kaun, Darnell Jackson, Russell Robinson and Rodrick Stewart. Fellow senior Jeremy Case was a 2007 KU graduate as he was a redshirt earlier in his career.

The Kansas baseball and track and field graduates were not able to participate in the commencement procession as they were in competition.
