Complete Big 12 Pairings

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – By virtue of its two wins over Missouri this weekend and KansasState’s loss to Texas Tech on Saturday, the Kansas Jayhawks clinched the No. 7 seed at the Big 12 Baseball Championship and will face second-seeded Texas A&M (41-14, 16-8 in Big 12) at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The Jayhawks and Aggies will be meeting for the first time in conference tournament play and the first time in the postseason since the 1993 College World Series. During the 2012 season, Texas A&M won two out of three from the Jayhawks in Lawrence, but KU earned a 5-3 win on April 15.

Kansas (22-32 overall, 7-16 in Big 12), the No. 7 seed for the second time in the last three years, won the 2006 Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma City as the No. 6 seed. The Jayhawks’ second game opponent will be either No. 3 seed Texas (30-20, 14-10 Big 12) or sixth-seeded Missouri (28-26, 10-14 Big 12) on Thursday.
