Funeral Arrangements Announced For Former Jayhawk David McMillan

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Funeral arrangements have been announced for former Kansas football player David McMillan, who passed away over the weekend.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 24, from 7-9 p.m. (ET), at the Kinsey and Walton Funeral Home in Augusta, Ga. McMillan’s funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25, at noon at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Augusta. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service and will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park, also in Augusta.

A Killeen, Texas, native, McMillan was a three-year starter on the Jayhawk defensive line, starting 36 of 47 games during his KU career. He recorded 150 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions playing for Kansas from 2001-04.

McMillan was drafted in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and suited up for the organization for three seasons (2005-07).
