May 23, 2013

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The start of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship was delayed due to heavy rains in Oklahoma City Thursday morning. Baylor and Oklahoma were slated to start first of four games at 9 a.m., but instead saw a first pitch a little after 12:30 p.m.

Kansas will likely begin its opening game against West Virginia, originally scheduled for 4 p.m., around 7:30 tonight, or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the previous contest. Kansas, West Virginia, Oklahoma State and TCU make up Pool Two, while Kansas State, Oklahoma, Baylor, and Texas Tech are in Pool One. Each team will play the other in its pool once over the next three days, with the top team from each pool meeting in the title game Sunday at 1 p.m.
