POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach

STARTING DATE: July 1, 2008

APPOINTMENT: Full time

Duties: Responsible for creating a team that competes successfully at the national level both athletically and academically. Assist with overall supervision, organization, development and implementation of a nationally competitive women’s intercollegiate softball program. This would include recruiting, coaching, scouting opponents, budgetary management, home event management, coordinating team travel, camp coordination, compliance with NCAA, Big Twelve and institutional rules, and a commitment to academic development of student-athletes.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree. Proven leadership ability and organizational skills a priority. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as they apply to the area of recruiting and eligibility.

Preferred: D-1 coaching experience with expertise in hitting fundamentals
