POSITION TITLE: Learning Services Coordinator

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible after application deadline

APPOINTMENT: Full-time

DUTIES: Coordinate and manage all specialized learning services and maintain communication with learning service providers for student-athletes. Coordinate and manage all tutoring for students identified with learning disabilities and for students who are learning English as a second language. Develop and administer programs for KU Bridge students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: Earned Master’s degree. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience working with and/or teaching learning disabled students. Experience working with and/or teaching international students. Three years experience teaching or counseling students. Experience working with student athletes at the collegiate level. Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours including possible travel when necessary. University level teaching experience.

PREFERRED: Work experience with NCAA and Big XII rules. Experience in the personal and academic development of students from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of academic programs at KU particularly advantageous. Willingness to maintain continuing education within the field. Proven experience developing and delivering student-athlete success and transition enhancement curriculum. Experience working with budget management.
