KU Football Games Against Duke And At UTEP To Be Televised

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football will have at least two of its non-conference games on television this season it was announced on Monday.

The Jayhawks’ game at UTEP on Sept. 12 will be televised by CBS College Sports at 6:30 p.m. Central and KU’s home game the following Saturday, Sept. 19, against Duke will be broadcast on VERSUS at 11 a.m. Central.

The announcement of the Duke game came as part of the Big 12 Conference’s early television selections by ABC/ESPN, FSN and VERSUS. Other television games will be announced at later dates, with the majority being announced on a 12-day notice.

The Jayhawks open the 2009 season hosting Northern Colorado on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m., before visiting UTEP on Sept. 12. KU will then host Duke in the first of three straight home games, which include Southern Mississippi on Sept. 26 and Iowa State on Oct. 10.
