Kansas-South Dakota Football Game Time Announced

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Big 12 Conference released the television broadcast assignments for the first three weeks of the 2013 college football season, with Kansas being tabbed for television in each of its first two games. The Jayhawks have a bye the opening week of the 2013 college football season.

Kansas, playing under second-year head coach Charlie Weis, will open the 2013 football season with a home game versus South Dakota on Saturday, Sept. 7. The KU-USD game will be played at 6 p.m., on the Jayhawk IMG TV Network. The Jayhawks and Coyotes will be meeting for the first time in program history.

As previously announced, Kansas will travel to Rice on Saturday, Sept. 14 for a 6:30 p.m., game versus the Owls. The KU-Rice game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

Kansas made eight appearances on FSN in 2012, two on FX and one each on ESPN3 and the Jayhawk IMG TV Network.
