HUA HIN, Thailand – Kansas senior-to-be women’s golfer Thanuttra “Fhong” Boonraksasat shot a 2-over par 74 Thursday and is tied for 17th at the Fourth Singha-Sat Thai LPGA Championship at Black Mountain Golf Course in Hua Hin, Thailand.

Boonraksasat’s 4-over 76 in Wednesday’s opening round and her 6-over for the tournament puts her eight shots behind leader Tanaporn Kongkiatkrai (-2), who is one of only two competitors under par in the 67-golfer field. Boonraksasat is tied for sixth among the 22 amateurs in the event.

The final round of the Singha-Sat Thai LPGA Championship will be played Friday.

A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Boonraksasat was second on the KU team in 2012-13 with a 75.9 stroke average. She was KU’s top scorer in five of 12 events during the season and posted six top-10 finishes.
