Van Slyke Selected in the 23rd Round of the MLB Draft

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas junior outfielder A.J. Van Slyke has been drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 23rd round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
Van Slyke, a Ladue, Mo., native was selected as the 710th overall pick of the draft after posting a .323 batting average and leading the Jayhawks with 12 home runs and 57 RBI during the 2005 season.
