POSITION TITLE: Assistant Cross Country and Track Coach

STARTING DATE: July 27, 2009

APPOINTMENT: Full-time

DUTIES: Responsible for all aspects of student-athletes involved in middle distance and long distance cross-country and track including recruitment, and coaching. Assist the head coach with the successful administration of the cross-country and track program working with academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, communicating the goals and objectives of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of one-year cross-country and distance track coaching experience. Possess knowledge of and commitment to following NCAA rules. Proven integrity and leadership skills, thorough knowledge of selected events and ability to teach and motivate student-athletes at a Division I level.

PREFERRED: Three years experience as an intercollegiate cross-country and distance track coach. Possess knowledge and experience in recruiting at the college level.
