POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach

STARTING DATE: Immediately

APPOINTMENT: Full time position

SALARY: $32,000

DUTIES: Maintain a top quality comprehensive strength and conditioning program for the University of Kansas athletics program. Responsible for overseeing assigned staff members. Adhere to the standards established by the Director, Strength and Conditioning including recommended weight training, conditioning, flexibility, plyometrics and nutrition. Communication with the Director, coaching staff, sports medicine staff and administration regarding aspects of the players nutrition, progress of training, and injuries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, NSCA certification (CSCS) within one year of employment, three years proven success in strength and conditioning coaching, resistance training, Olympic lifts, plyometrics, speed development, conditioning, flexibility, agility and nutrition.

PREFERRED: Masters degree. Previous coaching experience at a NCAA Division I institution.
