Gary Woodland Cards First Round 74 at the 109th United States Open

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. –

Former University of Kansas standout Gary Woodland carded an opening-round 74 at the 109th United States Open at Bethpage State Park Black Course in Farmingdale, N.Y.

Woodland, who teed off from the tenth hole, shot a 37 on both the front and back nine. He fired two birdies on the day.

Woodland is scheduled to begin his second round of play Friday at approximately 5 p.m. EST.

The cut line at the U.S. Open is the top 60 players and ties, including all players that fall within ten shots of the leader after two rounds of play. Woodland currently sits in a tie for 79th place after round one and trails leader Mike Weir by 10 strokes.
