The poster was a collaborative effort between the KU marketing department, men’s basketball staff/senior and Callahan Creek Advertising Agency. The schedule poster features last season’s senior class – Keith Langford, Michael Lee, Aaron Miles and Wayne Simien – with the quote “They came for the tradition. They’ll leave as a part of it.” In addition, the KU poster was awarded the “Best of the Best” for top overall poster.

“It was an honor to be recognized by our colleagues,” KU Assistant AD for Marketing Andrew Steinberg said. “It’s easy to produce an award winning poster when you get to work with the great tradition of Kansas Basketball.”

KU previously won the same award in 2002-03 for the “Old School” poster featuring Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich.

Judges for the NACMA awards included media, professionals from Coca-Cola, Gatorade, IMG, General Motors and a former executive producer for the Fiesta Bowl.
