Kansas Completes Final Day of USA Championships

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Four Kansas track & field freshmen competed on the final day of the USA Junior Outdoor Championships Sunday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Corey Fuller placed sixth in the men’s triple jump, posting a mark of 15.24 meters ( 50-00.00 feet).

Rebeka Stowe, who qualified for the finals of the women’s 1,500 meters with a time of 4:40.74 in the prelims, took 12th in the finals after running 4:38.94.

Donny Wasinger and Kaleb Humphreys finished 11th and 15th, respectively, in the men’s 5,000 meters. Wasinger ran a time of 15:12.79, while Humphreys clocked in at 15:22.65.

At the Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association (JAAA) National Senior Championships at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica, Nickesha Anderson placed sixth in the women’s 200 meters. The Hanover, Jamaica native ran a time of 23.73, .77 seconds shy of a trip to the World Championships.
