Kansas' Aaron Miles and Keith Langford to Join NBA Summer League Teams

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Former University of Kansas guards Aaron Miles and Keith Langford have each made plans to play for NBA summer leagues, KU officials learned Wednesday.

Miles, 6-1, will try out for both the New York Knicks and the Seattle Supersonics. He will participate on the New York summer team in Las Vegas, Nev., for games from July 6-11. The point guard will then train with the Seattle squad and play summer league games in Salt Lake City until July 22.

Langford, 6-4, leaves next week for summer league play with the Dallas Mavericks. His league will run in Los Angeles from July 8-23.

Miles averaged 9.3 points and led the Big 12 with a 7.2 assist average last season. The Portland, Ore., native ended his career No. 8 on the NCAA Division I career assists list with 954 assists – tops in KU and Big 12 history.

Langford ended his KU career No. 6 on the school-scoring list with 1,812 points. The Fort Worth, Texas, native was second on the team in scoring last season with a 14.4 point scoring average and was named second team All-Big 12.
