Throws Coach

DEPARTMENT: CROSS COUNTRY, TRACK & FIELD

POSITION TITLE: Throws Coach

STARTING DATE: Soon as possible after selection

APPOINTMENT: Full-time

DUTIES: Responsible for all student-athletes involved in track and field throws including their recruitment, coaching and strength and conditioning program. Assist the head coach with the successful administration and communication of the goals and objectives of the track and field program to academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of one-year throw events coaching experience. Possess knowledge of and commitment to following NCAA rules. Proven integrity and leadership skills, thorough knowledge of selected events, and ability to teach and motivate student-athletes at a Division I level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Three years experience as an intercollegiate track and field coach. Possess knowledge and experience designing a throws and strength program and possess experience in recruiting at the college level.
