Kansas Track Hall of Famer Dick Wilson Passed Away Saturday

University of Kansas Hall of Famer Dick Wilson passed away after a battle with a brain tumor and terminal cancer Saturday.

Wilson was a member of the Kansas track and field and cross country teams from 1950-54. He was a part of KU’s 1953 national championship cross country team. He was also a part of the four-mile relay team, which set an American record in that event.

Funeral services will take place at the First Baptist Church, 1330 Kasold Drive in Lawrence, Tuesday at 2 p.m. A reception will follow the service.
