DEPARTMENT: STUDENT-ATHLETE SUPPORT SERVICES
POSITION TITLE: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC TUTORING PROGRAM
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible after application deadline
DUTIES: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the strategic tutoring program for the basketball teams and other selected sports including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating and monitoring the tutoring staff, communicating student-athlete academic progress to assigned counselors and developing communications tools for use by staff, tutors and student-athletes.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; Experience working with college-aged students; Teaching experience; Tutoring experience; Supervisory experience; Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
PREFERRED: Education background in communications, education or related area; Master’s degree or substantial work toward completion of such degree; Demonstrated success teaching and/or tutoring student-athletes
