Kansas Football Signee Will Not Play

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football signee Jeremiah Edwards will not be a part of the Kansas football team after failing a physical according to Jayhawks football coach Turner Gill.

Edwards, a 6-1, 308-pound defensive tackle from Garland, Texas, signed with KU last spring. He recorded 61 tackles as a prep senior and was ranked as a top 100 prospect in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, while earning all-district honors.

Kansas players report to camp on August 3 and will take part in their first practice on August 4. KU will kickoff the season hosting North Dakota State on Sept. 4. Season tickets are available on-line at www.kuathletics.com
