Ex-KU Great Woodland Tied For Third Heading Into Final Round

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Former Kansas golf standout Gary Woodland enters the final round of the PGA Tour Greenbrier Classic tied for third, two shots out of the lead. The tournament will conclude Sunday in White Sulphur Springs, W.V.

Woodland shot a round of 67 Saturday and is eight-under par after three rounds. Anthony Kim leads the event at 10-under par after shooting 62 Saturday. Scott Stallings is at nine-under par. Woodland is tied with Webb Simpson at minus-eight.

Woodland, who is from Topeka, Kan. and graduated from Kansas in 2007, won the Transitions Championship in March and is attempting to win his second PGA event.
