2007 Volleyball And Soccer Season Tickets Now On Sale

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Season tickets for the 2007 University of Kansas volleyball and soccer seasons are on sale now.

The KU volleyball team begins its hunt for a fourth NCAA appearance in the last five years when it opens the season August 24 at the Oregon Invitational. The Jayhawks will make their first home appearance Tuesday, September 4, at 7 p.m., as they host UMKC.

Home matches include six teams that participated in the NCAA Tournament last year, including defending national champion Nebraska, Texas and the Border Showdown against Missouri. The Jayhawks will also host the Sunflower Showdown against in-state rival Kansas State.

Volleyball season tickets are $70 for reserved seats, and $56 for faculty and staff reserved seats. KU will play 14 games at the Horejsi Family Athletic Center, including 10 Big 12 contests.

The soccer team is aiming for a return to the NCAA Tournament after a two-year absence. The Jayhawks start the season with two tough games in Hawaii – August 31 vs. Hawaii and September 1 against Auburn. KU then begins its home schedule vs. Brigham Young on Thursday, September 6, at 5 p.m. at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

KU will play 10 games at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex, including four against teams that played in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Big 12 Conference portion of Kansas’ season features home games against Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Iowa State. KU will close out the regular season at home against Border Showdown Rival Missouri November 2.

Soccer season tickets are $40 for general admission and $32 for faculty and staff general admission.
