Kansas-South Dakota State Football Game to be Televised on the IMG Jayhawk Television Network

081212aaa_984_6419975.jpegLAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas’ 2012 season-opening football game versus South Dakota State will be televised on the IMG Jayhawk Television Network (JTN), it was announced Sunday. Under first-year head coach Charlie Weis, KU will take on the Jackrabbits Sept. 1 at 6 p.m., in Memorial Stadium.

Veteran broadcaster Gary Bender will handle the play-by-play on the telecast, while Richard Baldinger will serve as the analyst for the telecast, while Time Warner Cable Metro Sports will produce the game in High Definition.

The JTN affiliate lineup is set for the telecast on these stations in Kansas City and throughout the state of Kansas:
Metro Sports – Kansas City
WIBW 13 (CBS) – Topeka
MY TV (Channel 36, Cable Channel 6) – Wichita

Metro Sports is available throughout the Kansas City area on Time Warner Cable (channel 30 and 310 and in HD on 1310), Comcast (channel 258) and Knology in Lawrence (channel 37).
