Kansas Sophomore Rodrick Stewart Averaging 12 points for All-Stars

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas sophomore guard Rodrick Stewart has averaged 12 points in three games for the Sport Tours International All-Stars. Included was a game-ending slam dunk which broke a backboard in the second game of the tour.

The Sport Tours International All-Stars three-game trip to Sentjur, Slovenia, ended on a down note as the touring all-star team dropped a tough, 81-76, contest to KK Elektra on Wednesday (Aug. 17). The all-stars finished the three games versus the Slovenian professional teams with a 1-2 mark.

David Teague of Purdue enjoyed his finest game of the trip as he led all players with a game-high 21 points. Illinois’ Chester Frazier continued his fine play with 13 points while Stewartchipped in with 12 points. Evansville’s Matt Webster scored eight points as he saw extended playing time for the first time on the trip following a luggage snafu.

The group is enjoying an off day on Thursday (Aug. 18) before playing three consecutive games on Aug. 19-21. The STI All-Stars will face the Austrian National Team at 6:00 p.m. on Friday in Kapfenberg, Austria. The team will then face the Denmark National Team on Saturday and the English National Team on Sunday.
