Aug. 21, 2008

LAWRENCE, Kan. – All three of Kansas’ men’s basketball exhibition games in Canada, August 30-31, will be aired on the Jayhawk Radio Network.

KLWN’s Brian Hanni will call the play-by-play for these exhibition contests. KU plays two games on August 30 – 10 a.m. (Central) against McGill University at Montpetit Hall on the campus of Ottawa University and 6 p.m. (Central) vs. Carlton University at Scotiabank Place, home of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. The following day, August 31, KU will face Ottawa University at Montpetit Hall at 6 p.m. (Central).

The broadcast for Game 1 against McGill will be live with pregame starting at 9:45 a.m. (Central). KU’s Game 2 vs. Carleton conflicts with Saturday night’s KU football broadcast against Florida International. The basketball game will air twice on a delayed basis: once immediately following the KU football Scoreboard Show at approximately 10:45 p.m. and again Sunday afternoon August 31, at 3:30 p.m. – immediately preceding KU’s third exhibition contest. Game 3 against Ottawa will be a live broadcast, with the pregame show starting at 5:45 p.m. (Central).

Jayhawk Radio Network stations may carry any or all broadcasts. Fans are encouraged to check local listings.

Additionally, the radio broadcasts will be streamed at kuathletics.com; Games 1 and 3 will be live; Game 2 will be available Saturday night following the football broadcast and again prior to Sunday evening’s game.
