KU Fans Met Football Players Wednesday

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas football fans had the opportunity to meet the Jayhawk football team as the program held its annual Fan Appreciation Day at Memorial Stadium here Wednesday.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

Fans were able to watch the final 30 minutes of practice before head coach Mark Mangino and the four team captains addressed the crowd. Fans were then admitted onto the field where they could meet the Jayhawks and have items autographed by coaches and players.

Mini footballs, posters, schedule cards and other promotional items were made available to the crowd on hand.
