Aug. 24, 2004

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Kansas athletics ticket office is unveiling a new online ticketing system to give KU fans a more convenient way to purchase tickets to Jayhawk sporting events. Current football season ticket holders are now receiving their renewal applications in the mail with easy-to-follow instructions on how to renew their season tickets online. The new service is available 24 hours a day by clicking on any of the ticket links located at www.kuathletics.com.

Customers who go online to renew their football season tickets will be eligible to win two free season tickets, one free season parking pass or one of 10 footballs autographed by KU head coach Mark Mangino.

Season tickets for the 2004 football season are now available for purchase online, even for fans who are not current season ticket holders. Season tickets remain the best value and great seats still remain for the upcoming season.

Reserved seats for KU’s six home football games during the 2004 season will cost $185. In addition, the price of Family Zone tickets (two adult, two youth in north bowl) is $200, and reserved tickets for recent graduates (2002-04) remain $125.

Single-game tickets for home KU football games will available online in July while online ticketing for other sports will available later this summer.

The Jayhawks’ six-game home schedule includes Tulsa (Sept. 4), Toledo (Sept. 11), Texas Tech (Sept. 25), Kansas State (Oct. 9), Colorado (Nov. 6) and Texas (Nov. 13).
