Kansas Athletics Announces Promotions for First Three Home Football Games

LAWRENCE, KAN. – The University of Kansas football season is set to kickoff Saturday, September 3, and Kansas Athletics has several promotions and giveaways planned for fans. Once again, Campanile Hill will provide exciting pregame entertainment for Jayhawk fans. The Crimson and Blue Line, Hospitality on the Hill, the KU Marching Band, Big Jay and Baby Jay, and the Scion Pure Fun Zone are just a few features Jayhawk fans can experience on game day.

In addition, the following promotions are planned for the first three home games:

Florida Atlantic vs. Kansas
September 3, 2005
Memorial Stadium, 6 p.m.

  • 2005 KU Football schedule magnet to the first 25,000 fans, courtesy of Dodge.
  • Scout Night: All scouts can purchase tickets in advance for just $5 and parents and scout leaders can purchase discounted tickets for just $25. Contact the KU ticket office at 800-34-HAWKS to reserve your tickets today.
  • All Junior Jayhawks will receive one reserved ticket to the game when they present their membership card at any ticket booth at Memorial Stadium. Family members can purchase additional tickets for $25.

Appalachian State vs. Kansas
September 10, 2005
Memorial Stadium, 6 p.m.

  • The first 25,000 fans will receive a Jayhawk Football t-shirt, courtesy of adidas and Crown Automotive.
  • Heroes Night: Members of the armed forces and veterans, law enforcement, fire and emergency personnel, and teachers with a valid identification can purchase tickets for just $5 and family members can purchase tickets for just $25.
  • Band Night: Over 30 high school bands will be welcomed to Memorial Stadium to perform at halftime with the KU band.
  • All Junior Jayhawks will receive one reserved ticket to the game when they present their membership card at any ticket booth at Memorial Stadium. Family members can purchase additional tickets for $25.

Louisiana Tech vs. Kansas
September 17, 2005
Memorial Stadium, 6 p.m.

  • Family Weekend: All families are welcome to Lawrence for the entire weekend to partake in several different campus activities, including the football game vs. Louisiana Tech.
  • Faculty Staff Appreciation Night: All KU Faculty and Staff can purchase $15 tickets in advance by contacting the ticket office at 785-864-3141.
  • Spirit Night: The KU Spirit Squad will hold it’s annual Spirit Night and clinic. Contact Kansas Athletics at 785-864-3002 for more information.
  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters Night: All Big Brothers and Big Sisters can purchase two tickets for just $35. Contact the KU ticket office at 800-34-HAWKS for more information.
  • All Junior Jayhawks will receive one reserved ticket to the game when they present their membership card at any ticket booth at Memorial Stadium. Family members can purchase additional tickets for $25.
