The winner of this auction will receive one (1) section of the Memorial Stadium goalpost. This section was part of the goalposts used during the first part of the University of Kansas’ 2004 football season. Jayhawk fans brought the goalposts down on October 9, 2004, after Kansas defeated Kansas State, 31-28, breaking an 11-year slide versus the Wildcats. The goalpost section is approximately three feet long, and bears a plaque commemorating the game, as well as the autograph of Head Coach Mark Mangino.

The winner of this auction will receive one side of the main scoreboard that hung in Allen Fieldhouse from 1991 until 2005. The scoreboard is 19 feet wide, 7 feet high, 3 feet deep, and weighs approximately 800 pounds. The scoreboard includes the lights and wiring required to light up, but does not include the drivers or control panel needed to program the board. The winner will receive the board in its current non-operational condition. Any attempt to make the board functional is the sole responsibility of the winner. Please note: The winner of this auction receives only the top scoreboard section, not the bottom section that includes the message center and players on the floor. The scoreboard is currently stored in Allen Fieldhouse. The winner of this auction can choose whether to transport the scoreboard from Allen Fieldhouse themselves or have it shipped at their expense. This will be the final opportunity to win a section of the 1991 Allen Fieldhouse scoreboard through the University of Kansas Athletics online auction.
