Kansas Races to 30-10 Halftime Lead over FIU

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Sparked by Daymond Patterson’s electrifying 75-yard punt return for a touchdown, the 14th-ranked Kansas football team leads FIU 30-10 at the half in the season opener for both schools at Kivisto Field at Memorial Stadium Saturday night.

Kansas junior quarterback Todd Reesing has thrown two touchdown passes to Dezmond Briscoe, while junior Jocques Crawford also has a three-yard touchdown run. Crawford leads all rushers with 36 yards on eight carries, while Reesing is 22 of 29 for 163 yards.
