Jayhawks Lead Southeastern Louisiana 29-0 at Half

Lawrence High product Brandon McAnderson scored two rushing touchdowns, while the Kansas defense held visiting Southeastern Louisiana to just 40 yards of total offense in the first half as the Jayhawks lead the Lions 29-0 at halftime at Memorial Stadium. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

McAnderson scored on touchdown runs of four and two yards to cap scoring drives as Kansas scored on three consecutive possessions in the second quarter. Sophomore quarterback Todd Reesing was 7-for-12 for 168 yards, including a 36-yard touchdown pass to junior Aqib Talib in the first half.

Junior Marcus Herford also provided a spark with a 74-yard kickoff return in the first quarter.
