Kansas Leads South Florida 20-10 At Half

Todd Reesing completed 17 of 22 passes for 226 yards as the Kansas football team has taken a 20-10 lead into the lockerroom in its nationally-televised game at South Florida.

The Jayhawks scored on their first possession as Reesing hit Johnathan Wilson on a 36-yard scoring strike to take a 7-0 lead. KU went up 10-0 when Jacob Branstetter kicked a 30-yard field goal later in the period.

KU led 20-3 after another Branstetter field goal and a Reesing four-yard run. USF cut the margin to 20-10 when quarterback Matt Grothe scored on a 28-yard run with 1:10 left in the half.

Wilson has five catches for 123 yards and a long of 56. That 56-yarder was KU’s longest play of the season.

KU has accumulated 275 yards while holding USF to 165 yards.
