Women's Golf 14th At Dick McGuire Invitational

The University of Kansas women’s golf team is currently in 14th place, in a 17-team field, after the first round of the 26th Annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. The Jayhawks shot a 308 first round score at the 6,069-yard, par-73, UNM Championship Course.

Georgia is in first place at with a 287, followed by host New Mexico who came in with a 292. Pepperdine and Oklahoma State are tied for third with a score of 293.

Junior Tiffany Woods leads the Jayhawks with a first round score of 75 as she is tied for 28th. Sophomore Amanda Costner shot a 77 to place in a tie for 51st. Junior Chelsey Pryor and sophomore Jill Womble are tied for 59th as they both carded a first round score of 78. Junior Meredith Winkelmann finished in a tie for 84th as she shot an 82.

The Jayhawks will start second round play on Tuesday with tee times set to begin at 9 a.m.
