KU Soccer Moves Up To 24th in NSCAA Poll

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The University of Kansas soccer team moved up to 24th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released on Tuesday.

KU went 1-1 at the adidas/Toreros Invitational in San Diego, Calif., over the weekend. The Jayhawks defeated host San Diego, 1-0, before dropping a close match to undefeated Pepperdine, 3-2, on Sunday. Pepperdine moved up to 11th in this weeks poll.

In addition to its No. 24 ranking, KU was ranked third in the Central Region by the NSCAA. Soccer Buzz ranked the Jayhawks 30th in its national poll and fifth in the Central Region.

KU will host UC-Irvine on Friday, Sept. 16. Kick off at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex is slated for 5 p.m.
