Kansas Women's Golf Slips into 13th Place at Dale McNamara Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas’ women’s golf team dropped to 13th place in the second round of the Dale McNamara Invitational with a score of 617. The Jayhawks second day total improved by nine strokes from their first round total of 313 to 304.

Senior Katy Nugent and sophomore Thanuttra Boonraksasat led the Jayhawks with three-over par 75’s. Nugent is currently tied for 40th with an overall score of 154 and Boonraksasat is tied for 44th individually.

Kansas freshman Nadia Luttner shot a four-over par 76 in the second round and dropped from a tie for 14th place to a tie for 21st.

Sophomore Meghan Potee dropped five strokes to shoot an 84 and drop to a tie for 71st while freshman Michelle Woods improved to six-over par 78 and is also in a tie for 71st. Both have a two-day total of 163.

Arizona State still leads the tournament with a two-day four-under par 572. Oklahoma State stands in second with a 593, while Northwestern made a jump from seventh to third with a 594. Arizona State’s Giulia Molinaro holds a strong eight-stroke lead going into the third and final round with a two-day total of 136.

The tournament concludes Wednesday.
