University of Kansas Men's Golf To Host The 2004 Kansas Invitational

Lawrence, Kan. –

The University of Kansas men’s golf team will host the 2004 Kansas Invitational at the Alvamar Golf Club in Lawrence, Kan. The 54-hole tournament will be played on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 20-21, 2004. The first day will consist of 36 holes with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. and 18 holes on Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. start.

Alvamar Golf Club, developed by Bob Billings and opened in 1968, serves as the home course for the Jayhawk men’s golf team. The par-72, 6,950 yard course has been the exclusive host to the Kansas Invitational since its inaugural season in 1983.

The Jayhawks are the defending champions in this tournament after taking last year’s title by 17 strokes. Senior Andrew Price was last year’s champion after blowing away the field and winning by six shots
