Kansas Baseball Opens Fall Practice

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas head baseball coach Ritch Price will open his seventh season with the Jayhawks today when the team begins fall practice at Hoglund Ballpark. The team will work out an average of six times a week through the first week of November.

The team will hold its parents’ weekend today through Sunday, and will practice Tuesday through Sunday most weeks. The Jayhawks take a fall break from Oct. 15 to Oct. 19, before resuming the final three weeks of practice on Oct. 20.

Kansas will return 17 letterwinners, including five position starters from last year’s squad, which finished 30-27 overall and 9-18 in the Big 12.
