Position Title: 2nd Assistant Coach
Starting Date: October 1, 2005 or as soon as possible
Appointment: Annual
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Duties: Responsible for creating a team that competes successfully at the national level both athletically and academically. Assist with overall supervision, organization, development and implementation of a nationally intercollegiate baseball program. This would include recruiting, coaching, scouting opponents, budgetary management, camp coordination, compliance with NCAA, Big XII and institutional rules, and a commitment to academic development of student-athletes.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree. Proven leadership ability and organizational skills. Possess strong recruiting knowledge of the mid-west with emphasis in Colorado, and the greater Kansas City areas. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as they apply to the area of recruiting and eligibility. Three years experience coaching collegiate baseball.
Preferred: Coaching experience in D-1 with expertise in catching and hitting fundamentals and techniques.
